One of my favourite things about blogging is the fact that I can learn so much from other people and I can also, in return, share my knowledge with you guys.  I find it so great that with a click I can be inspired by creative minds all around the world and see it through other peoples’ eyes.  Kelly Mazur, my travel-blogger colleague,  and I share our love for exploring the best places in the planet, so today it’s her turn to share her knowledge with you.  I hope you enjoy her writing and experience as much as I do, and even more, find it useful for when you’re planning a holiday!!  Thank you, Kelly!!

When asked to describe what “luxury vacations” mean to me, I’ve always mentioned once-in-a-lifetime experiences, stunning views and living like the rich for a week. I want to see beautiful places, wear stunning clothes, and eat the best food. I want an experience that will leave me with life-long memories. Looking back at some of my favourite vacations, I’m going to share some of my top choices for luxury destinations. As a recent college graduate, I know how hard it can be to afford to travel in style while paying for school. You can find out how I managed to afford 3-4 luxury trips per year in my new book, “101 Tips for Luxury Travel… on a Budget”. []
My first destination is an obvious one: Paris, France. Honestly, how could Paris not make it on my list? During my first trip to Paris I bought a Louis Vuitton purse in their flagship store, I ate macaroons at the famous Laduree, and I had lunch at the very restaurant where Angelina Jolie ate while filming her movie Salt. Everywhere you look in Paris you see luxury. The cars, the fashion, the buildings! Take a stroll down Rue Saint Honore, one of the most expensive streets in the world, where you’ll shop in the same stores as many celebrities before you. To finish off your Parisian experience, dine at Les Ombres for an incredible meal with an even better view! You’re just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower, and seeing it twinkle from the terrace is the definition of luxury!
If you’re looking for a more exotic location, then I’d highly recommend Marrakech, Morocco! Live like royalty in any one of the 5 star resorts that were literally built for kings. Spend your days in Hannam spas or at pool clubs, like the famous Nikki Beach. By night, dine at a traditional moroccan restaurant and head to Africa’s biggest nightclub – Pacha! There’s something so mysterious and glamorous about this city, it’s no wonder so many celebrities vacation here. Pack a bejewelled tunic and your best designer dresses for this upscale desert experience.
Another favourite destination of mine is Sorrento, Italy. The views on this Italian cliff-side city are breathtaking, and can be viewed from any one of the hotels on the mountain. Order a bottle of champagne to your room, and sit out on your balcony to take in the views of the Bay of Naples like I did last year. The narrow streets are filled with charming restaurants, designer stores and some amazing gelato shops! Be sure to pack your Gucci sunglasses and your hottest bikini, because Sorrento has some awesome places to work on your tan. There aren’t many sandy beaches to speak of, but there’s beautiful bathing institutes where you don’t have to worry about sand getting in your Celine purse!
Last on my list, is infamous Las Vegas, USA. Sin City isn’t just for bachelor parties, that famous strip is also home to some high-class hotels and restaurants! In Vegas it’s all about glam and glitter. Mega-hotels like the Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio are some of the most elaborate hotels in the world. Since pleasing guests is part of the game, it’s not uncommon for travellers to get upgraded to rooms with stellar views of Las Vegas Boulevard. Hit up the glamorous poolside parties by day, or indulge in designer shopping in one of the many malls underneath the hotels. For dinner, you have your pick of world-class restaurants owned by the most famous chefs in the world. For entertainment, go to at least one Cirque du Soleil show! “O” is my all-time favourite, and I guarantee it will leave you speechless! Grab a coffee on your way out of the show, because your night won’t be over! End your day in Vegas with bottle service at any one of the many nightclubs this city has to offer!
So I’ve told you some of my favourite destinations for a luxury vacation, now it’s time for you to go see them for yourself! Make it all possible with the tips from my new book, available at
